Day 1 - Paro Airport – Thimphu
Meet & Greet on arrival at Paro Airport and transfer to Thimphu (7,710 ft.) the capital city of Bhutan. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight at Thimphu.

DAY 2: Thimphu
Thimphu the capital of Bhutan is a home of the Royal family .After breakfast visit Tashichhodzong ,the main secretariat building which houses the throne room of His Majesty,the king . View of the Thimphu valley from BBS Tower is very captivating and will prove to be the perfect Introduction to Thimphu. Some of the sites of religious nature are National Memorial Chorten; built in 1974 it was raised in the memory of the third King. Next visit one of the oldest monasteries in the valley- Chang Gangkha Monastery. The nature and wildlife lovers should not miss a visit to the National Zoo which also houses national animal takin.National Library (collections of holy scripts).Overnight stay at Thimphu.

Tashichhodzong, meaning “Fortress of the Glorious Religion,” is a major landmark in Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital. It serves a crucial dual role as both the administrative headquarters of the government, housing the King’s throne room, and the summer residence of the Je Khenpo (the country’s chief abbot).
BBS Tower
The BBS Tower, also known as Sangaygang, is a prominent viewpoint in Thimphu, situated at an elevation of 2,685 meters. It offers stunning, panoramic views of the entire Thimphu Valley. While the tower itself is the property of the Bhutan Broadcasting Service and access is restricted, the surrounding area is a popular recreational spot for both locals and tourists, perfect for walking, and enjoying the sunset.
National Memorial Chorten
The National Memorial Chorten is a large, white stupa with a golden spire, located in Thimphu. Built in 1974, it stands as a memorial to the third King of Bhutan, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, and is a central focus of daily worship for many Bhutanese. Unlike many other stupas, it doesn’t contain human remains but instead holds a portrait of the late king.
DAY 3: Thimphu – Paro
Visit the Ta Dzong, once a fortified lookout tower that is now the National Museum. Then walk down the trail to visit the Rinpung Dzong, meaning fortress of the heap of jewels. Next visit Kichu Lhakhang, the oldest temple in the country. From there you will be taken to the Drugyel Dzong (Bhutan Victory Fort), which was built in 1646 to commemorate Bhutan’s victory over Tibetan invaders during the 1600s. On a clear day you can see Mount Jumolhari, Bhutan’s second-highest mountain at 7,314meters.. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Paro.

Ta Dzong
Ta Dzong, meaning “watchtower,” is a historic cylindrical building perched above the Rinpung Dzong in Paro. Originally built in 1649 to protect the dzong from invasions, it was converted into the National Museum of Bhutan in 1968. The museum houses a vast collection of Bhutanese art, artifacts, and cultural treasures, offering a comprehensive look into the kingdom’s rich history and heritage.

Rinpung Dzong, also known as Paro Dzong, is a stunning fortress-monastery overlooking the Paro Valley. Its name translates to “Fortress on a Heap of Jewels.” This impressive structure is a prime example of Bhutanese architecture and serves as the administrative and monastic center for the district. It is also famous for hosting the vibrant annual Paro Tshechu festival.
Kichu Lhakhang
Kichu Lhakhang is one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples, dating back to the 7th century. It is believed to have been built by the Tibetan Emperor Songtsen Gampo as one of 108 temples to subdue a demoness and spread Buddhism. The temple complex is a serene and beautiful place of worship, with a charming courtyard and ancient murals.
DAY 4: Paro Sightseeing
After breakfast hike to Taktsang (Tiger ‘s Nest) Monastery, which is Bhutan ‘s most famous monastery situated at 3180 meters. Guru Rinpoche (the great spiritual master) is said to have flown on the back of a tigress to meditate in a cave where Taktsang Monastery now stands. The monastery is perched on the edge of a steep cliff, about 900 meters above Paro Valley.Overnight stay at Paro.

Hike to Taktsang Monastery
The hike to Taktsang Monastery, famously known as the Tiger’s Nest, is a highlight of any trip to Bhutan. The monastery is perched precariously on the side of a steep cliff, 900 meters above the Paro valley. The hike itself is a moderately challenging but rewarding journey, taking you through pine forests with stunning views. The round trip is about 6.5 km and typically takes 4-5 hours.
DAY 5: Paro - Paro Airport
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drop at Paro Airport for your onward journey.
